Start date is somewhat&nbsp;flexible.</span></u></strong></p><p><strong>Position Title:</strong> Lifeguard<br><strong>Position Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Aquatics Director<br><strong>Employee Categories:</strong> Part Time Seasonal<br><strong>FLSA Category:&nbsp;</strong>Non-Exempt; Hourly Position<br><strong>Compensation:</strong>&nbsp;$16.50 - $18/hour</p><p>Lifeguards are responsible for guarding the pool and the members in the pool area. Lifeguards are also responsible for greeting the members, testing the pool for chlorine, and maintaining a clean, organized and safe deck area and locker room area.<br><br><strong><ins>Primary Responsibilities:</ins></strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure a safe and friendly aquatic environment<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide excellent service to members and guests<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure the pool staff models outstanding standards of service<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Be familiar with and uphold the rules set forth in the Green Book<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Recognize Emergencies and respond effectively<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Promote Private Lessons, Group Lessons, Swim Team, Summer Program<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledgeable about The Pump Room and all aspects of Daily Operations<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Regular and Flexible Availability<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with lessons, swim team, summer program<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with daily statistics<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist with Pool Events, including the Swim Team Championship<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Continued education: re-certification as necessary<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Continued development of Standard Operating Procedures<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Special Projects as assigned by the General Manager / Clubhouse Manager / Pool Director and Assistant Director<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;On rainy days, or days the pool may close, lifeguards are given the opportunity to keep their hours by completing other tasks around The Country Club.<br><br><strong><ins>Required Skills:&nbsp;</ins></strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to communicate clearly.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Exposure to a private club environment is preferable.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Lifeguards must love to interact with all ages and have a passion for swimming.</p><p><strong><ins>Specialized Knowledge:</ins></strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; <br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Lifeguard certified<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;CPR/AED certified</p><p><strong><ins>Uniform:</ins></strong>&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bathing suit and T-shirt provided by TCC<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sweatshirt provided by TCC<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Red mesh shorts and sandals</p><p><strong><ins>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</ins></strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to be in the pool for long periods<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to sit for 8 hours<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to clean the bathroom, including floors and toilets<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to perform all physical requirements as outlined by the lifeguard certification course &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Able to lift to 50 lbs.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
