    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Job Description: Sr Software EngineerJob Title: Department: Software Development Location: PuneSummary:Designs, develops, and debugs software of diverse scope for new and existing products inaccordance with designated development practices, timelines, and quality expectations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Major Responsibilities:•Designs and develops high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.•Actively involves other project stakeholders (e.g., managers, developers, user interface and visual designers, product managers) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established R&D standards.•Participates in project scoping and scheduling; tracks progress of individual tasks and alerts stakeholders of issues blocking or preventing completion of task.•Ensures quality through functional, unit and performance testing; works closely with testing by providing thorough reviews of the test plan and communicates when updates to the plan should be made to cover code changes related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes.•Maintains accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers.•In collaboration with technical writers, authors appropriate level of design and technical documentation that satisfies both internal and external consumers.Requirements: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies, Education & Experience)Must have skills: Java, SQL, Angular, SpringAWS is good to have•Performs primary responsibilities on complex projects independently.•Solves problems with little to no guidance.•Assume leadership roles in projects.•Mentors and assists activities of junior developers.•Influences the design and testability of software by promoting good software practices. Understanding of SOLID principles•Sphere of influence: department and division with defined interaction across divisions.•Consistently contributes a body of work as expected of a career-oriented, journey-level position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferences:•Strong interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skills•Ability to think analytically and effectively communicate issues and solutions.•Ability to work independently and within a team.•Strong knowledge of current software development tools, methodologies, and principles•Ability to lead complex projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education:•At least bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or Equivalent.Desired Skills:•4-6 years of hands-on experience in developing high scalability applications using Java Technology.•Strong experience with SQL query performance tuning using MSSQL, MySQL•Exposure to Microservices Architecture•Excellent understanding of OOP concepts.•Follower of TDD and good knowledge of Test Pyramid.
