    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span> The On-Call Meals on Wheels Driver is responsible for delivering hot ready-to-eat meals to homebound seniors and local senior centers in the MAG service area.  We are looking for people to cover both Utah County and Summit County delivery areas.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> The hourly wage for this position in Summit County is $23.72/hour.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule:</span> The work hours for this position are generally 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, depending on the delivery route assigned and business needs. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Flexibility is needed as this position is specifically for back-up, not regular coverage. </span> Shifts may need to be assigned as late as the morning of the shift, depending on delivery route coverage needs.  Weekly hours can vary between 0 and 25.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position will be open until filled. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, with first interviews taking place in July 2025.  If selected for the position, applicants will be required to consent to background screening and drug testing.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span><br>● Drive MAG’s Meals on Wheels truck to deliver hot meals to senior centers, volunteer drop sites and individual residences on a predetermined route in the MAG service area.<br>● Load delivery vehicle with hot meals and other items for delivery<br>● Maintain records and make reports related to job responsibilities<br>● Work cooperatively with the meal delivery team and Meals on Wheels office staff<br>● Keep assigned vehicles clean and orderly, and report required preventative maintenance needs<br>● Must abide by all laws pertaining to the operation of delivery vehicles<br>● Operate vehicles in a defensive and safe manner at all times, abiding by all state, county and local traffic laws</p>\n<p>● Maintains valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must consent to monthly reviewing of Utah Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record<br>● Other duties as assigned<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</span><br>● Work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team<br>● Drive a Ford F150 truck with a box unit on the back with limited visibility<br>● Excellent communication skills<br>● Experience working with senior clientele<br>● Possess knowledge and ability in locating residential &amp; commercial addresses<br>● Ability to walk distances between delivery vehicle and drop off locations<br>● Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:</span><br>● High School Graduation, or equivalent<br>● One year of work experience demonstrating job-related skills<br>● Must have, or be able to obtain, Utah County Food Handlers Permit<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties and Responsibilities:</span> Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this job. Regular stops and deliveries necessitate entering and exiting the vehicle repeatedly throughout a shift.
