The ideal candidate is friendly, patient, and committed to providing excellent service to seniors while ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation service for the residents to and from various human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and others.</li><li>Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs as needed; open and close doors; and load/unload walkers and wheelchairs as needed.</li><li>Ensure resident safety and satisfaction are priorities, and account for the presence of all residents when leaving or returning to the community.</li><li>Prepare the van/bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance.</li><li>May be responsible for ensuring all vehicle license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards are current and displayed properly per local and state policy.</li><li>Follow and understand the rules of the road and transportation safety procedures.</li><li>Maintain current driving license per state regulations to perform transportation services.</li><li>Assist in the resident programs as needed, including resident activities and special events.</li><li>Build positive relationships with residents, engaging in friendly conversation and providing support as needed during trips.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
