You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production teams, to ensure that manufacturing systems are effective and meet the company's production goals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Accountability</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Process Design and Improvement:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.</li>\n<li>Design and implement process flow and layout strategies to optimize production efficiency.</li>\n<li>Analyse production workflows and identify areas for improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Production Support:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with production personnel to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.</li>\n<li>Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment and Tooling:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Specify, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment.</li>\n<li>Maintain and improve existing equipment to enhance productivity.</li>\n<li>Design and procure tooling and fixtures required for manufacturing processes.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cost Reduction:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.</li>\n<li>Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize material usage.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation and Reporting:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.</li>\n<li>Document changes to manufacturing processes and ensure all modifications are updated in relevant systems.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Management:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes or introducing new products.</li>\n<li>Develop project timelines, resource plans, and budgets.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuous Improvement:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.</li>\n<li>Stay updated with the latest manufacturing technologies and industry trends.</li>\n<li>Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes or equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span> Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a similar role.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.</li>\n<li>Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Strong project management and organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Effective communication and teamwork abilities.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).</li>\n<li>Right to work in the UK - Permanent Status  </li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
