    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Summary</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for leading the organization’s fundraising strategy and achieving annual revenue goals that sustain and grow The Hunger Coalition’s impact. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, this role builds strong relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners while developing systems and strategies that support long-term financial sustainability.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This role provides leadership to the development team and ensures fundraising efforts are strategic, coordinated, and aligned with organizational priorities. The Director of Philanthropy serves as the organization’s lead strategist and accountable leader for annual fundraising performance and revenue outcomes as well as </span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 10pt\">potential significant capital or programmatic fundraising efforts.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This position works in close partnership with the Director of Communications to ensure alignment between fundraising strategy and organizational messaging.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Strategic Fundraising Leadership &amp; Revenue Performance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue goals and strengthen financial sustainability of approximately $3.5M+.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Serve as the lead strategist and accountable leader for fundraising performance and revenue outcomes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Establish clear annual fundraising plans, benchmarks, and performance metrics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify opportunities for growth in individual giving, foundation support, corporate partnerships, and special initiatives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide regular forecasting and performance updates to the Executive Director and Board.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support the growth of blended giving strategies, including the integration of current and planned gifts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitor and proactively respond to emerging philanthropy trends, relevant tax legislation and policy changes.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Major Gifts &amp; Donor Relationship Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Partner with the Executive Director and Board member to actively manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, ensuring consistent cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop personalized engagement strategies for major donors and donor prospects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Establish and maintain strong relationships with foundations, corporations, and community partners.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Continue leading the development of our planned giving program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support Board engagement in fundraising and donor stewardship.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain strong relationships with institutional funders.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Grants &amp; Institutional Funding</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Oversee the organization’s grant strategy and grant pipeline.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure timely and accurate submission of grant proposals and reports.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure compliance with grant requirements and accurate use of restricted funds.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Fundraising Campaigns &amp; Events</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Define fundraising campaign goals, timelines, and revenue targets including ROI evaluations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Oversee planning and execution of fundraising events to achieve revenue targets.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure events and campaigns align with organizational strategy and donor engagement priorities.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Development Systems &amp; Financial Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop and manage the fundraising budget; track revenue projections and fundraising performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure accurate donor data management, gift acceptance and recording, and reporting within CRM and financial systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare quarterly fundraising reports/dashboards for the Executive Director, Board, and Finance Committee.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions related to fundraising performance.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Team Leadership &amp; Organizational Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage and support development staff to advance fundraising and engagement goals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with leadership team members to align fundraising strategy with organizational priorities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in Directors Team meetings and organizational planning processes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide support for THC programs as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in revenue generation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience managing major gifts and donor relationships</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong leadership and team management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong analytical and financial management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;
