The work will require the development of strong technical skills, closure software domain know-how and technical leadership growth.  In addition, the candidate will support miscellaneous electronics hardware tasks with our customers and Tier 2 suppliers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> include the following. Other duties may be assigned. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Learn about closure system and the engineering tools required to develop embedded controls</li>\n <li>Work with customers to develop and document engineering requirements </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and help resolve system issues during development </li>\n <li>Use software instrumentation tools to acquire data to drive design decisions, calibration decisions and problem solving </li>\n <li>Learn and use Model Based Design to develop, test and execute system controls </li>\n <li>Support customer system bench and vehicle integration build and testing </li>\n <li>Develop and tune system calibrations on system fixtures and vehicles</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS  </strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BSEE or CE is required. Other engineering degrees may be acceptable if the candidate has a demonstrated proficiency in embedded control system development</li>\n <li>Experience with Closed loop Control Systems development using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow and dSPACE Controldesk</li>\n <li>Data Acquisition and Calibration experience using tools like ATI, ETAS/INCA</li>\n <li>Experience with vehicle embedded control systems preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in electronics hardware development perferred</li>\n <li>3 years of industry experience preferred</li>\n <li>Proficiency in MS Office tools is essential</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Good oral and written English language skills.</li>\n <li>Strong technical writing skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively represent information and respond to questions in a meeting environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> PROBLEM SOLVING</strong></p>\n<p>The candidate is a self-starter and possesses strong analytical capability.  In addition, the candidate should possess excellent problem solving skills as evidenced by adherence to disciplined problem solving methods. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DEVELOPMENT TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTATION</strong></p>\n<p>Strong personal computer proficiency.  Experience with Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, dSPACE Controldesk and data acquisition/calibration tools such as ATI or ETAS/INCA. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EMBEDDED SYSTEMS DESIGN</strong></p>\n<p>Knowledge and experience in control system design, C programming language, systems engineering and electronics/computer engineering concepts preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Strattec is an equal opportunity employer.
