    "description": "<p>Job Description: </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for total engineering work and is responsible for the coordination of <br>the designated project engineering work. The Mechanical Engineer is to assume the role of engineering <br>interface with the inter-departmental team and Product Design Manager (PDM) or Head of Engineering with <br>full responsibility for engineering deliverables and for the technical accuracy of the work. All work shall be <br>carried out in compliance with the Jord ISO system. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities: <br>• Ensure adherence to the approved and agreed budgeted estimate <br>• Attend the KOM, highlight any missing information or ambiguous issues to execute the project <br>• Create the VMDL, develop deliverable dates and status/es and ensure that all the documentation <br>associated with the project is completed and stored in the job repository <br>• Prepare design plans, estimation sheets, BOMs, MTOs, detailed drawings, erection drawings, <br>assemblies and layouts, technical reports, TDS, TPS, O&amp;M and close out reports <br>• Ensure all necessary inputs are readily available for all draftsmen, checkers and engineers so that <br>they can proceed with their design work with minimum delay or without the need for rework <br>• Review all engineering documentation and designs prior to release to ensure compliance <br>• Ensure all incoming and outgoing documents are reviewed, actioned and properly controlled in the <br>database <br>• Ensure the check sheet system is followed <br>• Ensure any variations to the scope, design or drawings are captured in ECN’s, noted in the <br>engineering diary/estimate sheet and reported to the relevant personnel <br>• Assist Project Managers in formulating a cost analysis with justification in large variations <br>• Resolve engineering technical issues with the Project Manager <br>• Assist in resolving quality, fabrication, transportation, erection and commissioning issues as and <br>when they occur <br>• Be involved in checking as and when nominated by the Head of Engineering <br>• Coordinate outside design activities to ensure they are synchronised with in house design activities <br>• Coordinate directly with Vendors or through the Project Manager if needed for vendor data <br>information  <br>• Ensure designs are validated <br>• Obtain third party design approval and registration <br>• Carry out root cause analysis for any event notes raised to engineering <br>• Adhere to all Jord company policies and IMS requirements </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Skills and Experience: <br>• B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering along with at least 1 to 3 years of practical experience <br>• Ability to ensure the technical accuracy of the project design, procedure and sub-orders <br>• Knows all aspects of the product well and shall be a self-starter with minimum supervision <br>• Agree to and work in accordance to the overall project program <br>• Understands the critical path and the logic behind the optimal sequence of activities <br>• Possess hands on proficiency in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office and Internet <br>• Ability to work cross functionally with team members at all levels across multiple departments <br>• Facilitates teamwork and possesses a positive attitude. <br>• Able to handle workload effectively and willing to take on more <br>• Identifies problems independently and resolves problems to prevent reoccurrence <br>• Works quickly and improves the Company’s current tools and systems.</p>",
