    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p>\n<p>Serve as the Head Coach of the Men’s Golf Team. &nbsp;This position reports to the Athletic Communications Director. This person will operate with a committed understanding that in the pursuit of athletic excellence, we also seek to develop students for Christian life and service. &nbsp;This is a part-time position and pays $18,000-$20,000 annually.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Primary Responsibilities\n  <ol>\n   <li>Coaching Leadership\n    <ol>\n     <li>Manage, support, and direct all aspects of the men’s golf program\n      <ol>\n       <li>Comply with the mission and vision of Wheaton College; adhere to all College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and NCAA rules and regulations</li>\n       <li>Recruit, select, and retain a minimum of 8 team members that reflect the profile of Wheaton College students</li>\n       <li>Establish and monitor team standards&nbsp;</li>\n       <li>Schedule all contests with input from the supervisor as needed</li>\n       <li>Conduct appropriate training and practices to prepare teams for intercollegiate competition&nbsp;</li>\n       <li>Select and supervise assistant coaching staff that represent the convictions of Wheaton College</li>\n      </ol></li>\n    </ol></li>\n  </ol></li>\n <li>Secondary Responsibilities\n  <ol>\n   <li>Spiritual Leadership\n    <ol>\n     <li>Provide leadership and Christian discipleship to current student-athletes\n      <ol>\n       <li>Encourage and develop personal relationships with student-athletes&nbsp;</li>\n       <li>Serve as a consistent role model and resource for student-athletes</li>\n       <li>Cultivate a team culture that engages in prayer, worship, and scripture reading</li>\n       <li>Encourage a holistic environment for the well-being of &nbsp;student-athletes</li>\n      </ol></li>\n    </ol></li>\n  </ol></li>\n <li>Administrative Leadership\n  <ol>\n   <li>Ensure all administrative duties related to team management are completed in a timely manner\n    <ol>\n     <li>Direct the operations of all home golf events including team management, scheduling of officials and event-day personnel, and reporting results to the Sports Information Director’s office\n      <ol>\n       <li>Manage and operate within the annual men’s golf program budget and participate in the annual budget planning process</li>\n       <li>Schedule and oversee team transportation to and from away contests</li>\n       <li>Attend departmental staff meetings with participation in committee work as needed</li>\n       <li>Cultivate relationships with men’s golf alumni through E-newsletters and alumni golf events</li>\n       <li>Cultivate a relationship with the men’s golf Faculty Partners</li>\n      </ol></li>\n    </ol></li>\n  </ol></li>\n</ol>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>This job description is intended to represent key areas of responsibilities; specific assignments may vary from time to time depending on the operational needs of the department responsibility</strong> <strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>3-5 years coaching experience;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to recruit quality student-athletes at the college level;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire student-athletes on and off the golf course; &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>A commitment to the values of NCAA Division III athletics and Christ-centered education;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and leadership skills</li>\n <li>Competency in MSOffice computer programs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Collegiate golf experience Preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Faith Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Affirmation of the Wheaton College Statement of Faith as a faithful expression of one’s own theological convictions</li>\n <li>Affirmation of the biblical standards for Christian character and God-honoring behavior described throughout the Wheaton College Community Covenant, and promise to adhere to them in personal practice</li>\n <li>Support of the Wheaton College Christ-Centered Diversity Commitment, the Gender Equity Vision Statement, and the College’s Convictions on Human Sexuality.&nbsp; These commitments can be found on the Wheaton College website.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<p>The person in this position must be able to drive/transport athletes; set up and take down golf equipment; and to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>FLSA Status ‐&nbsp;</strong>Part-Time Exempt (0.25 FTE status)</p>",
