Weekends and evenings may be required. Job Summary The ACSC Facility Manager oversees all operations of the Allen Creek Soccer Complex, ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable recreational environment for the community. Responsibilities include facility operations, scheduling, staffing, turf and grounds management, events and tournaments, budgeting and revenue management, maintenance oversight, and safety and emergency planning. This role balances leadership responsibilities with hands‑on operational duties. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Guides, manages, and oversees all daily operations of the complex. Plans, manages, and coordinates maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Supervises maintenance personnel, and any additional staff, assigned to Allen Creek Soccer Complex. Manages practice, games, tournament, and all other scheduling operations of facility. Oversees turf management including fertilizing, irrigation, aeration, sod work, and chemical applications. Performs or supervises repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. Conducts routine safety inspections and ensures compliance with county and state standards. Develops and implements emergency action and disaster response plans. Responds to public inquiries and provides professional customer service. Assists with developing the yearly complex budget; monitors expenditures and revenues. Manages contractual adherence of concessions, sponsorships, and partnerships with local organizations. Acts as on call employee for the facility Required to assist with special events and tournaments. Recommends fees schedules and other charges for use of facility Conducts surveys and assessments to evaluate soccer needs Develops programs and schedules facility Night and weekend work is occasionally required. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Minimum Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation & Parks Administration, Public or Business Administration, Turfgrass Science, Agronomy, or a related field preferred. Five (5) years of facility management, parks operations, or recreation experience preferred. At least two (2) years of turf or grounds operations experience preferred. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Valid Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). EPA Pesticide Applicator's Permit preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of grounds maintenance operations and horticultural methods and procedures. Knowledge of equipment and tools used in park maintenance activities. Ability to plan, direct and review work of assigned subordinates. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and subordinates. Ability to perform heavy physical work including lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds. ADA Minimum Requirements Physical Ability: Essential functions continuously require the ability to move about by walking; maintain body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing, crouching or navigating narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces; repetitively use hands/arms/legs; and move/transport items weighing up to 25lbs. Incumbents must continuously be able to think analytically; concentrate on tasks; remember names and other details; and examine/observe details. Additionally, essential functions continuously require the ability to operate equipment; and stay organized. Essential functions frequently require the ability to bend body downward and forward by bending spine and legs, twisting at the waist, hips or knees; reach overhead; push or pull items; and move/transport items weighing between 26lbs and 50lbs. Incumbents must frequently be able to make decisions and adjust to change. Additionally essential functions frequently require the ability to be on-call; work irregular hours (nights/weekends); maintain stamina during workday; and meet deadlines. Essential functions occasionally require the ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing); move oneself by crawling on hands and knees; ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and ramps; position oneself by crouching or kneeling; and move transport items from 51lbs to over 100lbs. Incumbents must occasionally be able to handle stress and emotions; and discriminate colors. Additionally essential functions occasionally require the ability to attend work related meetings; direct others; handle confidential information; use a keyboard or type; and use math/calculations. Sensory Ability: Essential Functions require the ability to use effective verbal and written communication; and use of hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation to use tools and equipment. Environmental Factors: Essential functions are continuously performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather; extreme hot or cold temperatures; risk of bodily harm from hazards including sharp objects and tools, heavy machinery, and other hazards including traffic; dirty soil/mud; extreme dry environments; fumes, gases, odors, dust, grease and oil; and wet slippery floors/surfaces Essential functions are frequently performed with exposure to risk of bodily harm from falling from high or exposed places, and falling objects, biological and chemical hazards; moving mechanical parts; extreme noise; hot temperature devices including burners and hot machine parts; and extreme vibration. Incumbents frequently work alone or with others. Essential functions are occasionally performed with exposure to risk of bodily harm from electrical hazards; working in constricted spaces; hot temperature devices such as flame torches. Incumbents regularly must be able to work around equipment/machinery; drive county vehicles and other equipment; and walk on uneven ground.
