This role ensures compliance with corporate, customer, and regulatory quality standards. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Quality Management System (QMS):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Management Representative for QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).</li>\n <li>Maintain and improve QMS, ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.</li>\n <li>Manage external audits; train, schedule, and lead internal audit teams in line with QMS requirements.</li>\n <li>Own and manage document control, traceability, RCCA, and change control processes (e.g., ICNs, ACNs).</li>\n <li>Report QMS performance and continuous improvement opportunities to site and corporate leadership.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership and Departmental Oversight: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead, staff, and develop the QA team; assign responsibilities and evaluate performance.</li>\n <li>Provide training, performance reviews, and recognition for team contributions.</li>\n <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Corporate Quality to align quality objectives and foster a quality-driven culture across the factory.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Product and Process Quality:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain control plans, inspection plans, procedures, and quality documentation.</li>\n <li>Ensure quality requirements flow from customer orders through to final shipment.</li>\n <li>Confirm product certifications and First Article Inspections (AS9102) are prepared, reviewed, and in compliance with customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.</li>\n <li>Support resolution of quality issues in collaboration with operations and engineering.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Customer & Supplier Engagement:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Address customer (internal/ external) complaints, returns, and support Sales on quality topics.</li>\n <li>Participate in quoting and contract review for quality-related requirements.</li>\n <li>Engage with vendors to resolve supplier quality issues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead quality improvement projects using 8D, 5-Why, DOE, FMEA, and capability studies.</li>\n <li>Track, analyze, and report site-level Quality KPIs (e.g., defect rate, FPY, CARs/SCARs, customer returns, audit findings) to drive operational and strategic improvement.</li>\n <li>Promote 5S, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Metrology & Technical Support:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure calibration traceability of precision measurement equipment and support advancement of metrology capabilities aligned with EOFL’s optical manufacturing processes.</li>\n <li>Conduct Measurement System Analysis and ensure proper transfer from Engineering to Manufacturing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Training & Development:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and deliver training programs for QA and factory personnel.</li>\n <li>Promote cross-training and skills development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills & Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading a QA or QC function is desired.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC, and problem-solving tools.</li>\n <li>Experience in optical/mechanical inspection methods is preferred.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, InfinityQS, SAP QIM, etc.).</li>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience. </li>\n <li>5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications (Required within 18 Months):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).</li>\n <li>ASQ Certified Quality Manager or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Certified ISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Internal Auditor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical</strong> <strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Stand and sit for extended periods.
