font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Arizona’s first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)  to assess, diagnose, treat, and help students to communicate in the new state-of-the-art autism center.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Under the supervision and direction of the Occupational Therapist, the COTA will be responsible for:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement student engagement strategies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Move students toward progress on goals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Engage in data-driven instruction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement goals identified on student IEPs related to:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Fine Motor Skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">life skills/training</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">psychosocial adaptations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">sensory processing/adaptations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">visual motor skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Delivery of services in a classroom integration model</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Coach the classroom staff on the implementation of occupational therapy goals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Responsible for paperwork compliance with data collections relating to IEP goals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Participate in annual and ongoing staff training</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide training for new COTAs under the guidance and supervision of the OT</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct no less than 2 professional development sessions per year on sensory under the guidance and supervision of the OT</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide opportunities for shadowing, coaching, and modeling throughout the year for Tier 3 COTAs that require additional support with guidance and supervision from the OT</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential requirement of your position.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,sans-serif;
