Specific duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the development, maintenance and implementation of IHS policies, procedures, and process related to ES&amp;H Programs. The IHS Professional will collaborate with their peers and the workforce in developing solutions to complex IHS problems that require in-depth analysis of work activities.</span></p><p style=\"margin-top:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;margin-left:11.4pt;line-height:115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif;\"><strong>426.2:</strong> This position is subject to DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities, which establishes entry-level requirements to ensure candidates selected for specific positions can successfully perform the requirements of the job.</span></p><p style=\"margin-top:6.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;margin-left:11.4pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(68, 83, 106);\">MAJOR DUTIES &amp; Safety (IHS) technical guidance to operations on environmental remediation problems and issues</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Conducting investigations of the site to determine the extent of contamination and ensure that work will be in accordance with all federal, state regulatory requirements and within N3B&#39;s Industrial Hygiene &amp; Safety policies</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Providing input to the N3B Safety and Health Programs team related to developing, maintaining and revising IHS processes/programs necessary for ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Applying the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or mitigate hazards while ensuring mission success.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Monitoring and reviewing the Industrial Hygiene &amp; Safety performance of subcontractors in the areas of work planning, work execution, installation, inspections, material control, and other areas of their work to confirm that they are performing in accordance with N3Bs subcontract work program (Exhibit F process).</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Performs other duties as required.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-top:6.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(68, 83, 106); text-transform: uppercase;\">Minium Qualifications:</span></strong></span></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;line-height:13.4pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Advanced knowledge</span><span style=\"font-size: 11px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><a id=\"_anchor_1\" href=\"#_msocom_1\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_1\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif;\">[DS1]</a>&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;of strategic communications planning, as well as experience in managing EM communications programs.</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.in Industrial Hygiene, including use of various sampling and analysis methods, personal exposure monitoring, safety program development, and related recordkeeping.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Excellent communication skills to effectively convey major elements of IHS, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Experience preparing, reviewing and presenting Industrial Hygiene &amp; Safety protection reports.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Demonstrated advanced experience in the identification, application and interpretation of federal codes, standards, and regulations in several Industrial Hygiene &amp; Safety program areas, including chemical safety, beryllium, exposure assessment, cryogens, confined spaces, fall protection, and other IHS areas.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Advanced experience conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting CH-TRU worker health &amp; safety.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Experience with and advanced knowledge of IHS sampling and measurement equipment including a comprehensive understanding of functionality, calibration, and interpretation of measurements.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-top:6.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: rgb(68, 83, 106);\">EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</span></strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 27.4px;\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a technical (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, etc.) Five (5) years of related experience.
