ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? The YMCA of the East Valley is seeking a Site Coordinators to lead the implementation of our before and after-school programs. In this role, you’ll foster a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students while building strong relationships with families, school staff, and your team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Site Coordinator is responsible for leading the daily operations of a high-quality before- or after-school program. This role ensures a physically and emotionally safe environment, builds relationships with students, families, and school staff, and provides direct supervision to site staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead and supervise daily program activities including academic support, character development, arts, STEM, and super service. Maintain compliance with state regulations, YMCA policies, and safety protocols. Foster strong communication with families and school personnel. Perform regular site inspections and drills. Conduct performance reviews for site staff. Maintain accurate records including attendance, supply requests, and program documents. Attend all required trainings and staff meetings. Support YMCA special events such but not limited to Healthy Kids Day and the Christmas Parade.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience working with school-aged children in educational or youth development settings. Completion of 72 quarter or 48 semester college units or passing scores on the NCLB exam. 1+ years of staff supervision experience required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Must have reliable transportation and availability for assigned shifts. CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications required within 30 days of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach and must be able to move around the work environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
