This leadership role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution to deliver an exceptional experience for our members and guests while maintaining high service standards and strong financial performance.</p><h3><strong>Position Summary</strong></h3><p>The Director of Golf is responsible for aligning all golf operations with the Club&rsquo;s mission, service standards, and long-term goals. This role oversees daily operations, staff development, financial performance, member engagement, and cross-department collaboration to ensure a premier golf experience.</p></div><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Lead and oversee all golf operations, including Assistant Golf Professionals, golf shop staff, and outside services team</li><li>Ensure exceptional daily operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, and overall member satisfaction</li><li>Partner with the Course Superintendent, Golf Course Maintenance team, and Assistant General Manager to optimize course conditions and playability</li><li>Develop and manage the annual budget; monitor financial performance and explain monthly variances</li><li>Oversee golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and equipment sales</li><li>Manage outside golf operations, including cart fleet, bag services, and practice facilities</li><li>Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff in accordance with company policies</li><li>Plan and execute tournaments, leagues, outings, and special events</li><li>Develop and deliver instructional programs (private lessons, clinics, and group programs for all skill levels)</li><li>Engage with members to foster strong relationships and enhance club culture</li><li>Drive strategic initiatives to grow participation, retail performance, and member engagement</li><li>Collaborate with Sales and Food &amp; Beverage teams to support events and programming</li><li>Serve as a visible ambassador for the Club within the community and golf industry</li><li>Address member and guest concerns with professionalism and discretion</li><li>Enforce golf policies, procedures, and pace of play standards</li><li>Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices</li><li>Prepare operational reports and recommendations for leadership</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety protocols, USGA rules, and handicap administration</li><li>Maintain all golf facilities in a first-class condition</li><li>Be present during peak times, weekends, and major events</li></ul><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Associate degree or higher preferred</li><li>Graduate of an accredited Golf Management Program preferred</li><li>Class A PGA Member (or apprentice in good standing) preferred</li><li>5&ndash;8+ years of progressive golf operations leadership experience (private club or resort preferred)</li><li>Prior experience as a Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, or senior golf operations leader</li><li>Proven leadership and team management experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of golf operations, retail, and business management principles</li></ul><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><h3><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies</strong></h3><ul><li>Ability to analyze financial reports and operational data</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong organizational and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>High level of professionalism and member service focus</li><li>Proficiency with standard computer applications and golf management systems</li></ul></div></div><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><h3><strong>Why Join Amelia National Golf Club?</strong></h3><p>Join a premier private club committed to excellence in service, teamwork, and member experience.
