    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential  opportunity for a civilian <strong>Registered Nurse - PACU</strong> at<strong> Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada.</strong> This contract position offers:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee status and access to a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and, Vision, 401(K), PTO and Sick time</li>\n <li>Schedule - 40 hours weekly supporting a 24/7 PACU operation with a 30 minute lunch</li>\n <li>Fully Insured patient population</li>\n <li>Duty Hours: Monday-Friday 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts covering Sunday through Saturday to meet operational needs</li>\n <li>Opportunity to Care for our Active Duty, Retiree's and their families</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>PACU Registered Nurse</strong> will have the following requirements:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US</li>\n <li>Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.</li>\n <li>Shall hold and maintain (ACLS) or (ALS), (BLS), (CPR), and (PLS), Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.</li>\n <li>Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).</li>\n <li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a clinical nurse in the medical/surgical or critical care inpatient setting. Experience with newborn to geriatric population. Minimum of 1 year of experience in post anesthesia/sedation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>General Knowledge:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perioperative Nursing Care to include:</li>\n <li>Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease process and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience to acutely ill pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Utilizes the nursing process as a basis for professional practice.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patient’s condition including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders and conditions as appropriate, as seen in critically ill patients.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of preventative health schedules, procedures, processes, and education methods.</li>\n <li>Must synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions to interpret lethal rhythms independent of physician.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Company Overview:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>“At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
