    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>Voted <em>Best Places to Work in Indiana</em> since 2011, FORUM is dedicated to enriching the lives of our employees so we can in turn enrich the lives of our members.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>As a Mortgage Advisor, a typical day might include the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Conduct mortgage application interviews </strong>of applicants generated through established contacts: SEGs, Direct Requests, Payoff Requests, Expired Applications, FORUM Marketing Events, and Outside Referral Sources etc.</li>\n <li><strong>Develop </strong>contacts in the real estate industry and other outside sources to produce additional mortgage loans by performing pre-approvals and <strong>providing borrower education</strong>.</li>\n <li>Ensure all client contact, disclosures, and client involvement are done in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.</li>\n <li><strong>Develop proficiency in lending guidelines for all investors and correspondent relationships </strong>with FORUM Mortgage and keep informed of the changes in the mortgage industry.</li>\n <li>Ensure a smooth and timely mortgage process and closing by:\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Pre-qualifying applicants.</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Counseling customers on the mortgage products and the process.</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Submitting borrower files to Underwriting for Pre-Approval</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Obtaining all necessary documents and information.</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Keeping all involved parties up-to-date on the status of the loan.</strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This job might be for you if:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High level of customer service and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Ability to develop contacts and network with REALTORS, builders, and other professionals</li>\n <li>Attention to detail involving numbers, conversations, procedures, and documents.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>College degree or equivalent work experience</li>\n <li>Sales and/or financial industry experience required, mortgage loan training provided</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain NMLS # and meet all State and Federal requirements.</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office software)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>What we offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive industry pay and the opportunity to earn incentives</li>\n <li>Award winning training and development</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>FORUM Credit Union is a full service financial institution offering 13 convenient branch locations in the Indianapolis area.
