(nSI) is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support the U.S. Army Ronald Reagan Space and Missile Test Range (RTR). RTR operations depend on reliable, high-performance software to support mission planning, sensor integration, data flow, situational awareness, and post-mission analysis across a geographically distributed range architecture.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">While the Range Contractor executes day-to-day operations, nSI personnel work alongside RTR leadership, the Range Contractor, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT/LL) to assess mission needs, improve software-enabled capabilities, and support modernization across the range enterprise. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and sustainment of software solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and enable future mission requirements, including the use of AI-assisted software development tools and the potential development of AI-enabled mission applications.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, services, and tools that support RTR mission operations and engineering activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support software integration across radar, optical, telemetry, communications, and data processing systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and enhance mission planning, data visualization, automation, monitoring, and analysis capabilities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders to translate operational needs into effective software solutions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in software architecture, interface development, and system integration activities across distributed environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Leverage AI-assisted coding and software development tools to improve development speed, code quality, maintainability, and engineering effectiveness.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support evaluation, prototyping, and potential development of AI-enabled applications to enhance mission planning, data exploitation, decision support, automation, and operational insight.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Troubleshoot software issues, analyze system behavior, and implement improvements to reliability and performance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support real-time mission execution and post-mission analysis through software engineering expertise.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contribute to modernization initiatives by evaluating new technologies, frameworks, development approaches, and AI-enabled capabilities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Produce and maintain technical documentation, test artifacts, and configuration-managed deliverables.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow disciplined software development, cybersecurity, and quality assurance practices appropriate for mission systems.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or C#.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience developing, integrating, and sustaining software in complex operational or technical environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience using AI-assisted coding or software development tools as part of an effective engineering workflow.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Understanding of software architecture, APIs, data flows, testing, and configuration management.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with test range systems, missile defense, space operations, or mission software.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with real-time or near-real-time data processing and visualization environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with distributed systems, networked applications, or sensor integration.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of AI/ML application development, data pipelines, model integration, or human-in-the-loop decision support tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of DevSecOps, containerization, cloud or hybrid environments, and CI/CD pipelines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to support both engineering development and mission-facing operational needs.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>nou (pronounced &lsquo;new&rsquo;) Systems:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Since its founding in 2012, nou Systems has built a reputation for excellence in innovative engineering, prototype development, and technical and professional services in multiple markets, including missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control.
