By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Responsibilities:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure dining areas and kitchen are appropriately prepared for serving client meals.</li>\n<li>Perform meal planning duties such as table preparation, counting of meals to be served, setting up trays, portioning out and cleaning food before preparation, monitoring cooking ovens and burners, in accordance with standards and special diets, as needed.</li>\n<li>Complete cleaning tasks such as clearing tables, washing pots, dishes and utensils, store serving items, wash and disinfect work areas, and collect and dispose of trash.</li>\n<li>Inventory stock including the number of meals served as well as the storage room. Reorder necessary food items, inventory and store.</li>\n<li>Prepare notes from clients or other staff related to service delivery and forward to supervisor.</li>\n<li>Alert supervisor to any food related problems with service, food delivery or distribution of food.</li>\n<li>Orient volunteers to standards, policies and procedures for the kitchen.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Qualifications:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>\n<li>A minimum of six months previous related experience preferred.</li>\n<li>Attend General Food Handlers course from Suffolk County Dept. of Health.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Schedule:</em></span></p>\n<p><em>Part-time – 7 hours per week. </em></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Rate of Pay</em></span>: <em>$18.50 per hour</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location.
