A thorough understanding of inventory costing (standard &amp; weighted average), cost allocation and flow through an ERP system would be the foundation upon which this position will be built from. An understanding of valuation management for excess, slow moving, and obsolete inventory, in addition to product changes, is key. This role is hands-on, working with Audit, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and Production teams.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Duties to include (but not limited to):</strong></p><ul><li>Heavy involvement in Oracle implementation and processes. Will be relied on as a Super User in all areas of cost accounting.</li><li>Performing month-end cost accounting close activities</li><li>Maintaining cost accounting system and cost ledger (ERP)</li><li>Analyzing valuations and participate in inventory review meetings including obsolescence.</li><li>Variance analysis - address and reduce root causes of variances as applicable.</li><li>Maintain Cost&nbsp;source&nbsp;workbooks &amp; Gross&nbsp;margin&nbsp;reports.</li><li>Year-end&nbsp;inventory&nbsp;and&nbsp;monitor&nbsp;cycle&nbsp;counts.</li><li>Compliance&nbsp;audits&nbsp;and&nbsp;process&nbsp;reviews.</li><li>Respond&nbsp;to&nbsp;audit&nbsp;findings&nbsp;with&nbsp;corrective&nbsp;action&nbsp;plans.</li><li>Other&nbsp;operations&nbsp;and&nbsp;related&nbsp;reports&nbsp;including&nbsp;revision&nbsp;control&nbsp;and&nbsp;work&nbsp;instructions.</li><li>Assist with training&nbsp;and coaching of staff to improve performance of all aspects relating to the&nbsp;inventory&nbsp;tracking&nbsp;and&nbsp;reporting&nbsp;system.</li><li>Projects&nbsp;and&nbsp;other&nbsp;duties as assigned.</li><li>Support the activities and objectives of Vecima&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>A post-secondary&nbsp;education, with over five years of hands-on progressive working experience, at a senior level,&nbsp;in a manufacturing standard&nbsp;cost accounting and reporting role.&nbsp;Experience within the Technology manufacturing sector is considered a strong asset</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>CPA designation (or currently pursuing)&nbsp;</li><li>ERP (Oracle &amp; GP) working knowledge of information flow through and data mining.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Vecima (TSX: VCM)</strong> is a global leader focused on developing integrated hardware and scalable software solutions for broadband access, content delivery and telematics.
