An employee in this class is responsible for the performance of various physical tasks including routine manual labor involving grounds construction and maintenance work. Duties are performed under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">EQUIPMENT &amp; JOB LOCATION:</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> This position requires an introductory knowledge of the operation of equipment, including large equipment such as tractors, riding mowers and utility vehicles, and a variety of small hand-powered equipment such as trimmers. The primary work site is the city-owned golf course.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Operates and maintains a variety of vehicles, machines, and equipment appropriate to job related tasks to maintain grounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Performs routine golf course maintenance and repair including bunkers, greens and fairways.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Performs golf course set-up, including setting tee markers and changing hole locations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Assists in project work including sod and seedling, installation of irrigation and drainage and construction or renovation of greens, tees, bunkers and cart paths.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Operates and maintains brush chipper and chain saws, rakes up sticks and debris in work area, and hauls debris to designated location.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Performs snow removal using a plow or shovel; applies salt to parking lot and clubhouse entrances.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Assists mechanic as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to perform physical functions, including ability to lift objects, such as equipment, supplies, and/or materials short distances (weight up to 50 lbs.).  Ability to climb, bend, balance, and traverse rough ground, and ability to perform these tasks under varied weather conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;
