Direct Support Professionals help those in our care to reach their highest potential, while gaining experience and learning new skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The current hiring range for this position is</strong>: <em>$22.64-$23.10 per hour. Plus additional incentives. </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities or those in need of neurological rehabilitation. </strong></p>\n<p><em>We are looking for </em><em>Direct Support Professionals</em> <em>that are passionate about providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. Our </em><em>Direct Support Professionals</em> <em>must have a strong desire to work with </em><em>autistic, intellectually and/or developmentally disabled</em> <em>individuals</em><em>.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Designs and provides direct and consultative day services to persons served:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops structured, meaningful, and enriching activities to teach life skills and promote the personal development of each individual.  Plans and conducts individual and group sessions to further enhance skills.</li>\n <li>Gather all necessary materials and a develop curriculum to teach skills in specific areas.</li>\n <li>Assist program staff with encouraging and increasing the participation of each individual.</li>\n <li>Assist in the development of treatment-specific goals and objectives, when appropriate.</li>\n <li>Prompts and/or assists each person in the achievement of goals while actively encouraging the independence and competency of each person to maximize their full potential.</li>\n <li>Assists program management in the design of functional strategies and the need for adaptive equipment that enhances learning and creates an environment best suited to individual profile and needs.  </li>\n <li>Provides suggestions regarding techniques and/or materials to support and enhance functional and cognitive abilities; identifies barriers that may impede individual progress, and recommends environmental accommodations to support functioning and facilitate the generalization of skills. </li>\n <li>Uses a system of documentation that is professional, efficient, accountable, and conforms to federal, state and other applicable policies and procedures;  develops and maintains progress reports, session notes, treatment summary reports, etc., as required by the IPP;</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Contributes in facilitating a team approach to program development, implementation, and monitoring by effectively collaborating with all specialty/clinical disciplines, parents/guardians, residential and day program staff, etc., to identify and best meet the individual needs of each person we support.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Develops and implements structured day services in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team (IDT), and in accordance with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), the Individual Program Plan (IPP), Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established Bancroft policies and procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provides ongoing support, guidance and mentoring for staff in implementing treatment plans, general interactions, engagement, daily care, goal implementation, level of support and safety for assigned individuals.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High School Diploma and 6 months related experience required.  Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
