They implement quality assurance procedures and perform routine inspections and quality tests. They ensure that standards and safety regulations in their area are observed. They practice continuous improvement regarding the methods they employ and the documentation they use. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Execute incoming and final inspections.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Log inspection results in the system.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Review mill certifications for product conformance to specifications. Scan and maintain mill certs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Completes a Material Return Notice (MRN) when product is returned from job sites.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Establish product identity during inventory and when products are returned.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performs Pre-Production Approval (PPAP) inspections for new suppliers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Generates Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for non-conformances.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Notifies buyers, project coordinators, and/or designers when parts are non-conforming.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Sort for critical deviations when there isn’t time to return a discrepant shipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Attend material review and board meeting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Perform product testing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Education and experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, material certificates, safety rules, operating and maintain instructions, and procedure manuals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Effectively speaking before a group of employees.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Effectively apply the concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a situations where only limited standardization exists.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Interpretation of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proper use and knowledge of calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and basic inspection instruments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams is required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds at a time.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Effectively work in a warehouse setting with moderate noise levels.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be able to work independently and be self- motivated.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Deals with others in a straightforward and honest manner, is accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality and supports company goals and values.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Other Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
