    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>If you reside in California, please see our California Applicant Privacy Policy for more information about our data handling practices and your data rights.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>MV Transportation is seeking a <strong>Parts Clerk </strong>who is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Maintenance Manager, Parts Manager and other Maintenance Supervisory personnel.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities: </strong> </p>\n<p>The Parts Clerk responsibilities include but are not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Post parts to work orders. </li>\n <li>Enter work orders into the fleet maintenance software. </li>\n <li>Create and process purchase orders in the fleet maintenance software. </li>\n <li>Perform all shipping and receiving duties both domestic and international, as required. </li>\n <li>Identify part numbers and provide descriptions with the intent of supplying or ordering parts for fleet maintenance technicians utilizing software and catalogs. </li>\n <li>Monitor daily fuel readings and transmit them to the fuel vendors.  </li>\n <li>Transmit daily the fuel delivery receipts to the client. </li>\n <li>Order parts for inventory, out of service buses or special requests. </li>\n <li>Manage and process parts cores, as required. </li>\n <li>Work closely with Parts Manager to ensure needed parts and inventory levels are maintained at efficient and optimum levels. </li>\n <li>Conduct cycle counts, inventories and obsolete parts surveys, as directed. </li>\n <li>Work closely with vendors and vendor pricing for optimal efficiency. </li>\n <li>Maintain complete and organized files. </li>\n <li>Submit required reports accurately and on time. </li>\n <li>Manage departmental assignments ensuring all items are completed on time. </li>\n <li>Assist Parts Manager in managing department finances within approved budget. </li>\n <li>Ensure parts system is maintained according to standards acceptable to the division and client. </li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Talent Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent.  </li>\n <li>Bus parts experience desirable. </li>\n <li>Must possess a clean driving record and reliable employment history with an emphasis on attendance and punctuality.   </li>\n <li>Must become familiar with company policies and procedures. </li>\n <li>Applicant must maintain a neat appearance and demonstrate the desire to work with contractor staff, manufacturers, vendors and the general public.  </li>\n <li>Must be or become proficient on MS Office, client, and other software as required.  </li>\n <li>Must possess excellent organization skills. </li>\n <li>Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail.  </li>\n <li>Must possess excellent written and verbal skills. </li>\n <li>Learn Microsoft Word and Excel within 60 days. </li>\n <li>Maintain acceptable attendance level. </li>\n <li>Maintain a safe, clean and professional work area. </li>\n <li>Obtain ASE certification for parts specialist (P1). </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Starting pay rate: $26.75/hour</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>MV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
