    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:<br>&nbsp; The Water/ Wastewater Senior Engineering Technician is a professional with a 2 to 5 years of experience with EIT certificate (preferred). This individual will plan, design and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as water main; sanitary main; pumping stations; and water &amp; wastewater treatment facilities. The Engineering Technician shall be self-motivated, with good writing skills and capable of working in a team environment. &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>PRIMARY DUTIES:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.</li><li>Work on a team to produce correspondence/reports/biddable documents for water distribution systems; wastewater conveyance system; treatment plants; potable wells; water storage tanks; and water &amp; sanitary pumping stations.</li><li>Engineering support to our inspection department.</li><li>Capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets.</li><li>&quot;Proactive&quot;&#39; identification of problems/issues coupled with detailed analysis and effective resolution.</li><li>Work on a team to produce regulatory permitting applications.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>EIT preferred while working towards PE.</li><li>Ability to clarify and concisely express thoughts verbally and in written correspondence/reports/specifications.</li><li>Provides effort and takes pride in all work assignments produced.</li><li>Not afraid to ask for guidance/assistance in order to expedite the date of assignment deliverables.</li><li>Ability to simultaneously work on group and individual assignments.</li><li>Must have effective communication, management and writing skills.</li><li>Must be skilled in the use of Word/Excel products.</li><li>AutoCAD capability a plus.</li></ul><p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering curriculum from an accredited four-year college or university.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>EIT or preparing to take and working towards PE. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:&nbsp;</p><p>While performing the duties of a Construction Observer, the employee typically works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
