The position works closely with maintenance, operations, and production teams to ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory levels and strong supplier relationships. This role requires frequent <strong>direct interaction and follow-up with suppliers</strong> to support uninterrupted plant operations.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Purchasing &amp; Supplier Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Procure MRO and indirect materials such as maintenance parts, tools, consumables, and operating supplies</li>\n <li>Create, review, and manage purchase orders in alignment with plant needs and budget guidelines</li>\n <li>Maintain frequent communication with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, expediting, and delivery issues</li>\n <li>Follow up proactively on open orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve shortages or discrepancies</li>\n <li>Support sourcing activities and identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier consolidation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Inventory Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain accurate plant inventory levels to support production and maintenance requirements</li>\n <li>Monitor min/max levels, reorder points, and usage trends to prevent stockouts or excess inventory</li>\n <li>Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventory activities</li>\n <li>Work closely with maintenance and production teams to anticipate upcoming material needs</li>\n <li>Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of MRO inventory</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Plant &amp; Cross-Functional Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as the primary purchasing contact for maintenance and operations teams</li>\n <li>Respond quickly to urgent or unplanned material needs typical of a manufacturing environment</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot supply issues and provide solutions that minimize downtime</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control and purchasing processes</li>\n</ul>",
