This includes diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that equipment is safe and in optimal working condition. The heavy equipment mechanic plays a crucial role in keeping these machines running efficiently and effectively, ensuring that projects and operations can be completed on time and without interruptions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with welding and electrical systems. This must be tolerated, with or without reasonable accommodations, being exposed frequently to extreme weather conditions.</li>\n<li>There are high noise levels and significant vibration associated with this position. This may be caused by the truck and equipment and jobsite noise.</li>\n<li>The is also exposure to cement, asphalt, dust, diesel fuel and other substances which may be toxic, cause burns or be explosive.</li>\n<li>Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.</li>\n<li>Requires working in a closed vehicle or equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requires you to walk, stand, and sit.</li>\n<li>Requires use of hands and fingers to handle and feel.</li>\n<li>Required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch and crawl.</li>\n<li>Requires use of hearing and smell.</li>\n<li>Requires ability to lift up to 110 pounds.</li>\n<li>Requires the ability to push and pull items with 100 pounds of force.</li>\n<li>Requires ability to identify and distinguish colors visually.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
