Meritus provides critical infrastructure protection, security services, and operational support to federal agencies throughout the United States.</p><p>Meritus is committed to supporting national security missions by delivering highly trained personnel and operational excellence to government partners.</p><hr><h1>Position Summary</h1><p>Meritus Solutions Group is seeking professional Armed Security Officers to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK).</p><p>Armed Security Officers are responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure while supporting force protection and security operations throughout the installation.</p><p>Officers must demonstrate proficiency in federal security procedures, access control operations, armed response protocols, mobile patrol operations, and Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs).</p><p>This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, physical fitness, and the ability to operate within a highly structured military security environment.</p><hr><h1>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h1><p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>Control access to secured and restricted areas</p></li><li><p>Conduct Entry Control Point (ECP) operations</p></li><li><p>Perform armed alarm responses</p></li><li><p>Conduct mobile security patrols and security inspections</p></li><li><p>Support Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs)</p></li><li><p>Protect personnel, government property, and critical infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Respond to emergencies and security incidents</p></li><li><p>Complete accurate reports, logs, and required documentation</p></li><li><p>Enforce federal regulations, installation policies, and post orders</p></li><li><p>Maintain proficiency with assigned weapons and security equipment</p></li><li><p>Perform additional duties as assigned by contract leadership</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Minimum Qualifications</h1><p>Applicants must:</p><ul><li><p>Be a U.S. Citizen</p></li><li><p>Possess or be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance</p></li><li><p>Be at least 21 years of age</p><ul><li><p>Applicants may be 18 years of age if currently serving in the Reserve Component or National Guard</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Possess a minimum of two (2) years of security experience</p></li><li><p>Successfully pass:</p><ul><li><p>Comprehensive background investigation</p></li><li><p>MMPI psychological evaluation</p></li><li><p>Medical evaluation</p></li><li><p>Drug screening</p></li><li><p>Physical Readiness Test (PRT)</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently</p></li><li><p>Be capable of preparing accurate written reports</p></li></ul><h3>Physical Readiness Test Requirements</h3><p>Applicants must successfully complete:</p><ul><li><p>1.5-mile run in 17 minutes and 30 seconds or less</p></li><li><p>19 push-ups within 2 minutes</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Education Requirements</h1><ul><li><p>High School Diploma or GED required</p></li><li><p>DD214 (if prior military service)</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Required Certifications &amp;
