          "text": "<p>CEDA is looking for Mechanics for our shop location in Dawson Creek, B.C. This position will provide mechanical maintenance services on a diverse range of mobile equipment in a safe and timely manner. Based in the Dawson Creek shop with deployment to various worksites, this position will report to the Operations Manager.</p><p>&#xa0;<strong>What we Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Wages vary between&#xa0;<strong>$25.00-$50.00</strong>, based on experience</li><li><strong>Excellent benefits</strong>&#xa0;and&#xa0;<strong>matching pension</strong>&#xa0;contributions starting on your first day!</li><li><strong>Continuous</strong>&#xa0;year round employment&#xa0;</li><li>Shifts would be 10-12 hours per day, your schedule is negotiable with opportunity for overtime; double time after 12 hours</li><li>Accommodation and travel provided to the right candidate</li><li>Be part of a true team. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great people</li></ul><p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>General maintenance and repair on Truck and Trailers, Tanker and Vacuum Trucks in an efficient and timely manner</li><li>Troubleshoot and inspect equipment, provide diagnostic and replace or repair defective parts</li><li>Supports safety and continuous improvement programs</li><li>Interpret work orders</li><li>Maintain and support equipment records and repair history</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Role Specifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience working in an industrial environment</li><li>Valid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years required</li><li>Class 1 or 3 license&#xa0;would be an asset</li><li>General familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset</li><li>Fitting skills and a CVIP license would be an asset</li><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis</li><li>Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>You’re meticulous – you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs</li><li>Good communication skills, enjoy doing precision work, and solving problems</li></ul>",
