Are you ready to join a team of passionate individuals who are working to make a difference in the lives of our kids?&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Plans, organizes, promotes, &amp; implements a diversified Social Recreation Program.</span></p><p><strong><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</span><br></strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Prepare youth for success</strong></em></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> Promotes and encourages participation in daily recreational activities and programs and participation in special event programs and tournaments.<br> Orients new members to equipment, acceptable social behaviors, scheduled programs and special events, games and tournament rules, and opportunities as well as club safety, program and disciplinary rules.<br> Provides guidance and role modeling to members</span>.<br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Program</strong></em></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> Implements, monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities for members.<br> Develops and posts weekly and monthly program plans.<br> Monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members and quality in programs.<br> Recognizes club members for program participation and achievement.<br> Maintains records to track attendance and participation.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Supervision</strong></em></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> Maintains order and discipline of club members.<br> Supervises and trains volunteers and program assistants.<br> Ensures a productive work environment by participating in weekly club staff meetings.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Supplies</strong></em></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> Monitors supply needs and orders required supplies through approved vendors and within budget.<br> Keeps supply room neat and orderly.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Faculty</strong></em><br> Insures program area is attractive, neat and clean and bulletin boards and notices are current.<br> Makes and/or recommends needed repairs to facility and/or equipment.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><em><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></em></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> Participates as part of a team to run quality programs by helping out where needed or directed, which may include driving the club van.<br> Participates in training/educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.</span></p><p><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:</strong></span><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> High School diploma required. College with a major in health and physical education preferred.<br> Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years where:<br>o There is experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.<br>o Formal training, and/or experience teaching youth while creating engaging social recreation experiences.<br> Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.<br> Knowledge of youth development.<br> Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.<br> Ability to deal with the general public.<br> Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.<br> Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.<br> Utilizes resources for free and donated supplies and encourages donations from community contacts.</span></p><p><strong><br></strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong>:</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Community-based location that serves youth, families and community members daily. Frequent host site for organizational and communal meetings and events. Frequent contact with employees, community-based organizations, families, Club members, and community members. Some required travel to Club locations and community partners. Frequent deadlines. Atypical work schedule, including evening and weekend work.
