Backup Driver Warehouse Associate Job Description Job Summary The Backup Driver Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and providing driving services as needed. This role includes handling shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The associate must be flexible and capable of transitioning between warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. Key Responsibilities - Assist with loading and unloading shipments. - Maintain accurate inventory records and organize warehouse stock. - Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. - Drive company vehicles to deliver or pick up goods as required. - Ensure timely and safe transportation of materials. - Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. - Support warehouse team in daily operations and logistics. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Previous experience in warehouse and driving roles preferred. - Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts. - Strong organizational and communication skills. Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. - Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. - Comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Safety Training Requirements - Completion of warehouse safety orientation. - Forklift operation certification. - Defensive driving course certification. - Regular participation in safety drills and refresher training.
