    "requisitionDescription": "<div data-pasted=\"true\"><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a skilled Service Mechanic with experience in power equipment and small engine repair to join our Service Division. The primary responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of customer-owned equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: landscaping equipment, snow removal equipment, hydraulic systems, trailers, diesel engines, small farm equipment, tractors, light trucks, and other outdoor power tools and machinery.</p><p><em>&nbsp;Full-Time</em></p><p><strong>Responsibilities/Duties:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Accurately diagnose and repair small engines, gas-powered, and diesel-powered equipment on a daily basis.</li><li>Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of power equipment including lawn mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, trimmers, generators, and compact utility equipment.</li><li>Work closely with the Service Writer and Parts Department to ensure accurate parts ordering, service timelines, and detailed repair estimates.</li><li>Recommend preventative maintenance and service plans to customers.</li><li>Assemble, inspect, and prep new equipment for delivery.</li><li>Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.</li><li>Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.</li><li>Experience in landscaping equipment, snow/ice removal equipment is a plus.</li><li>Skilled in trailer repair, light truck repair, tractor service, and snowplow systems.</li><li>Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently.</li><li>Familiarity with outdoor power equipment brands such as Toro, Honda, Husqvarna, or similar is a bonus.</li><li>Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair knowledge.</li></ul><p><strong>Credentials and Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prior diesel engine experience is PREFERRED &ndash; additional training can be provided in the areas related to tractors and UTV&rsquo;s/RTV&rsquo;s.</li><li>2-3 years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or related field.</li><li>Forklift operation experience is a plus &ndash; certification provided.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs.</li><li>Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work.</li><li>May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time.</li><li>May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible scheduling (Open Saturdays till noon, closed Sundays!)</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Paid vacation</li><li>Major medical- BlueCross BlueShield</li><li>Vision and dental coverage- BlueCross BlueShield</li><li>401(k) employer match contribution- WE MATCH 100%</li><li>$50,000 Life insurance policy</li><li>FREE company apparel</li><li>Wellness programs</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>Employee discount</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>Russo Hardware, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
