    "description_html": "<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on YMCA buildings, mechanical equipment and other property.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.</li><li>Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks; installs window blinds.</li><li>Installs flooring of all types</li><li>Install and repair plumbing fixtures including but not limited to toilets, sinks, and urinals.</li><li>Installs electrical wiring and equipment; replace and repair lighting fixtures and ballast.</li><li>Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.</li><li>Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; interior and exterior painting</li><li>Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>Minimum of 2-3 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.</li><li>Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance related areas.</li><li>Adhere to drug/alcohol/smoke free workplace policy</li><li>Able to prioritize and meet deadlines</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.</li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence.</li><li>Successfully complete State of Florida Criminal History Background Check requirements as well as meet the Association’s policies on background screening</li><li>Employment is contingent upon completing required Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
