    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></span></p>\n<p><span>Test Development</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and develop test code using LabVIEW and other programming languages to operate test and measurement equipment and collect data</li>\n <li>Generate executable releases for use by fabrication and test teams</li>\n <li>Develop new features for existing and future products</li>\n <li>Ensure test code documentation is accurate and up to date</li>\n <li>Develop user guides where applicable</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Test Execution</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate optical test equipment to collect test data from chips and wafers</li>\n <li>Analyze test data using stand-alone code, Excel, or other tools/utilities</li>\n <li>Handling of optical components and sub-systems/modules following best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Skills &amp; Experience</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years of experience in test engineering or similar role&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Practical experience working on projects with significant amount of self-guidance, following best practices for revision control, organization and quality</li>\n <li>Experience with LabVIEW, Visual C#/Visual Basic or other test development platforms is desired</li>\n <li>Familiarity with laser operations and optical test setup</li>\n <li>Able to work and deliver following an aggressive schedule</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Other requirements</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the company’s needs</li>\n <li>Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Education</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.</li>\n <li>Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.</li>\n <li>Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li>Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
