    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">:</span>                        Stellenbosch</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Contract Type:</span>               Full-time</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Level:</span>                       Lecturer</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Appointment Date:</span>        1 July 2026, or soon as possible thereafter</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Remuneration:</span>               Market related</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reference:</span>                      MBSELECC&amp;M</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Description</span></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be appointed as a lecturer on the BCom in Financial Management qualification in the Commerce &amp; Management Faculty of Moonstone Business School of Excellence.</p>\n<p>Duties will include planning, co-ordination and implementation of scheduled activities; maintenance of study material; delivery of teaching, learning and assessment; student support and communication; record-keeping and implementation of quality assurance measures to ensure ongoing improvement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Specification  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the effective co-ordination and implementation of subjects according to the semester calendar.</li>\n<li>Responsible for maintenance and improvement of teaching material and assessment according to specified standards, policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Ongoing research and analysis to identify required updates and additions to allocated subjects and textbooks.</li>\n<li>Responsible for delivery of quality online teaching, learning and assessment in the allocated subjects according to specified standards, policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Receive, research, manage and respond timeously to student queries and student support requests.</li>\n<li>Perform internal pre- and post-moderation on assessment instruments and course material where development is outsourced, or for other identified MBSE programmes where subject matter expertise allows.</li>\n<li>Implement MBSE standards, policies and procedures for accurate record-keeping, moderation and communication of all student results.</li>\n<li>Stakeholder management including liaising with clients, internal staff and management and external subject matter experts and moderators to ensure effective implementation of programme.</li>\n<li>Provide information to assist with the implementation and maintenance of accreditation with various quality assurance bodies and professional bodies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Subject matter expertise in financial management and taxation</li>\n<li>Content development (wrap-around guides and other student support material)</li>\n<li>Assessment development</li>\n<li>Assessment Moderation</li>\n<li>Online facilitation skills</li>\n<li>Communication skills</li>\n<li>Computer literacy</li>\n<li>Planning, co-ordination, project management, reporting and record-keeping</li>\n<li>Student support and relationship management</li>\n<li>Effective and disciplined time-management</li>\n<li>Problem solving and creativity</li>\n<li>Critical thinking</li>\n<li>Decision-making abilities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial Management (or similar) qualification at NQF 8</li>\n<li>Relevant Professional Designation, CA(SA) / ACMA/CGMA preferable</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 years’ working experience in financial management/ cost accounting, or taxation, and</li>\n<li>2 years’ working experience in higher education or similar training environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing date for applications: 24 June 2026</span></p>\n<p>Only suitable applicants will be contacted.
