Levy Group of Companies is seeking a<strong> Logistics Coordinator </strong>for our<strong> Mill Materials Management </strong>location in <strong>Fort Wayne, IN</strong>. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for daily support functions essential to managing and tracking the railcar and trucking fleet.</div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Pay: $25.00-30.00 an hour based on experience</strong></div><div><strong>Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm, occasional weekends</strong></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Benefits</strong></div><div><div><ul><li>Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Program</li><li>Employee Referral Program</li></ul></div></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div><div>The Logistics Coordinator will:</div><div><ul><li>Generate new rail sites for railcar fleet</li><li>Product new trucking brokers</li><li>Train sites to create new shipments by way billings</li><li>Coordinate and manage brokerage accounts and 3PL (third party logistics) companies</li><li>Distribute PO numbers to trucking company for pick up and delivery shipments</li><li>Create accurate bill of lading and release EDI instructions for rail shipments</li><li>Trace and track shipments from origin to destination daily</li><li>Verify daily shipment tonnage and manage order completion</li><li>Manage and negotiate improved lane rates</li><li>Track cars that are bad ordered/lost with railroad or plant</li><li>Maintain records and generate reports for leadership</li><li>Assist in responding to any accidents, spills, or maintenance issues following company policies</li><li>Provide daily trace reports of all shipping movements to leadership</li><li>Provide inbound rail car reports to each location weekly</li><li>Ticket material shipments from third party sites</li><li>Notice all shipments in customer system</li><li>Maintain records of rail car shipments and ticketing</li><li>Assist sites with rail car needs and ordering</li><li>Provide bill of ladings to customers</li><li>Track load frequency of private cars</li><li>Occasional travel as needed for development</li><li><p>Performs other duties as assigned by Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul></div><div><strong>Skills</strong></div><div>The ideal candidate will have:</div><div><ul><li>Experience with rail and trucking logistics preferred</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office products</li><li>Knowledge of Asset Management System</li><li>May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on business needs</li></ul></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>To Apply</strong></div><div>Please submit a resume.
