With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Factory Systems team. We are seeking an experienced quality engineer who is passionate about building something exciting and new and wants to help make quiet, emissions-free flight an everyday reality. As a senior quality assurance engineer on the Factory Systems team, you will work closely with Product Management, Product Operations and various customer teams like Manufacturing or Supply chain on building a holistic system landscape for enabling the successful design, test and manufacturing of our revolutionary aircraft. This is the first QA hire focused on our internal enterprise software. You will have the opportunity to shape best practices and the future of QA on the team.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with engineering, product and design to ensure our suite of factory systems products meets the product requirements</li>\n <li>Identify, reproduce, isolate and report bugs</li>\n <li>Work closely with stakeholders on developing a comprehensive suite of test cases</li>\n <li>Develop automated testing and conduct hands-on testing for our product suite</li>\n <li>Conduct user focused testing for new features</li>\n <li>Create comprehensive QA plans and manage their execution</li>\n <li>Collaborate with our frontend, backend and infrastructure teams on incorporating key test frameworks into both our internal products as well as external systems</li>\n <li>Manage project timelines and release schedules</li>\n <li>Aid in prioritization and communication of issues between customers, product and engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of Software QA experience crafting, maintaining and carrying out test plans</li>\n <li>3+ years of programming experience, preferably in scripting and automated testing</li>\n <li>Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools</li>\n <li>Worked with automation test tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Apium or Cypress</li>\n <li>Experience crafting test reporting dashboards and reports, enabling seamless status reporting to multi-functional partners</li>\n <li>Experience identifying automation requirements and crafting solutions to address test execution challenges</li>\n <li>Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems</li>\n <li>Enjoys working in a dynamic environment that is evolving and may be demanding at times</li>\n <li>Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting deadlines</li>\n <li>Proactive, take initiatives, and work independently</li>\n <li>Experience with real time data processing and streaming</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Have experience with project management</li>\n <li>Experience with ticket tracking systems and preferably experience with Linear.</li>\n <li>Have experience working in manufacturing organizations</li>\n <li>Experience handling sensitive customer data and logs</li>\n <li>Experience with cloud environments as well as application deployment and scaling technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, docker, Firebase</li>\n <li>Ability to maximize efficiency of testing and QA by utilizing the engineers, product managers and designers most effectively</li>\n <li>Experience with test frameworks for external systems like Microsoft Dynamics</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
