We invite you to participate in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Studying Skillful Teaching</span>, an engaging and research-based course provided by Research for Better Teaching, Inc.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Throughout the course, participants will:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Explore powerful beliefs and expectations that drive student motivation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Learn how to foster growth mindsets in students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Design impactful lessons that clarify learning objectives and define success</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Apply research-based instructional strategies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collect, analyze, and utilize formative assessment data to make informed decisions about student learning</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Course Dates/Details:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Four full-day in-person sessions: August 10, 11, 12,13 (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, with a lunch break).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Four afternoon in-person sessions: September 16,  October 14, November 18, and December 2 (3:45pm-6:45pm).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participants will receive 67.5 PDP’s upon completion of the course.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participants completing all program requirements can optionally receive three graduate or undergraduate credits through Fitchburg State University for an additional fee paid directly to FSU<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Staff who successfully complete the course will receive a $1,000 stipend. Successful completion includes attending all sessions and completing the required coursework.
