More than a workplace, we celebrate our successes and take pride in serving our communities.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>This role is responsible for handling workers compensation claims independently with minimal oversight, using current claims technology and best practices. The position investigates claims thoroughly, evaluates coverage, damages, and liability, and makes sound decisions to resolve claims efficiently. Responsibilities include negotiating settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys; managing files from start to finish; setting and maintaining accurate reserves; and overseeing litigated claims. The role also participates in ongoing training, presents claims to committee as needed, mentors others on the team, and consistently delivers strong customer service while meeting department audit and quality standards.\n<h2>Work Location</h2>\n<p>This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations.  Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule.  Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Handle work comp claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager. Utilize current Claims technology. Research and formulate a basis on which coverage decisions will be made, conduct thorough investigations, evaluate damages and liability. Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants and attorneys. Responsibilities also include active file management, ensuring proper reserving, participation in training activities, presentation of claims to Committee and supervision of litigated files. Serve as a mentor for others in the team or department.
