You will ensure precise layout and verification across a wide range of projects, supporting crews and operations with the information they need to install mechanical systems correctly the first time.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>A Day in the Life:</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform below-grade layout for drainage installations, sumps, manholes, elevator pits, sleeves, and mechanical penetrations (horizontal and vertical).</li>\n<li>Execute deck canning layout to ensure accuracy prior to concrete placement.</li>\n<li>Provide onsite pour watch to verify layouts and safeguard penetrations and sleeves during concrete pours.</li>\n<li>Conduct spot checks on layout and installations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.</li>\n<li>Provide accurate layout for equipment pads, risers, hangers, and mechanical rooms, ensuring design intent is met.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the Field Operations Manager and site supervisors to align layout with construction schedules and project goals.</li>\n<li>Operate and maintain Topcon GNSS, Total Station layout systems and builders’ level to ensure proper elevations, invert accuracy, and correct slope and grade.</li>\n<li>Use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid to prepare, update, and verify layout drawings and field documentation.</li>\n<li>Provide clear, concise, and timely layout information to support installation crews.</li>\n<li>Mentor, train, and support employees on layout techniques across mechanical scope, fostering skill development and consistency.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation, records and as-builts of layout activities.</li>\n<li>Proactively identify potential layout conflicts and communicate solutions.</li>\n<li>Support site safety, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Qualifications:</em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in mechanical layout, survey, or foreman-level field coordination.</li>\n<li>Journeyperson status in plumbing, pipefitting, or sheet metal, or a technical diploma in surveying, civil, or mechanical technology (considered an asset).</li>\n<li>Hydronic experience in heating, cooling, mechanical rooms, grooved, victaulic and cast iron experience.
