          "text": "<p><strong>Union:</strong> Non-Union<br>\n<strong>Number of vacancies:</strong>&#xa0;1<br>\n<strong>New or Replacement Position:&#xa0;</strong>Replacement<br>\n<strong>Site: </strong>Toronto General Hospital/Princess Margaret Cancer Centre<br>\n<strong>Department:</strong> Education Technology and Media Services<br>\n<strong>Reports to: </strong>Manager<br>\n<strong>Salary Range:</strong>&#xa0;$32.59 - $48.89 per hour<br>\n<strong>Hours: </strong>37.5 hours per week<br>\n<strong>Status: </strong>Temporary Full-Time<br>\n<strong>Closing Date: </strong>June 19, 2026<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Position Summary</strong><br>\n<br>\nAs a key member of the ETMS team, the Specialist, Audio-Visual &amp; Technology Services supports the delivery of health care to health professionals via video conferencing and other innovative technologies. the primary responsibilities of this job include: leading the specialized technical operations of the ETMS department in the area of expanded services such as special installation projects, service desk operations, educational video conferencing, computer software/hardware application support; ensuring equipment and staffing meet the needs of the client within UHN as well as outside health and other organizations; assisting with procurement of specialized equipment and technologies; performing maintenance and administration of various phases of the operational projects; managing the day-to-day technology needs of the users at UHN. The responsibilities of this role also include providing technical support for Tele-education events across all University Health Network sites; delivering, setting up, moving, dismantling and storing ETMS equipment and other peripheral devices within the UHN sites; troubleshooting and problem-solving videoconferencing equipment; assisting in the expansion of the ETMS program; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or as requested.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate and deliver audiovisual and educational technology services across UHN, including broadcasting, video conferencing, and multi-site event support.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and support by developing solutions, troubleshooting hardware/software, and enabling effective use of AV technology across inter-professional teams.</li><li>Manage event logistics and administration, including intake, scheduling (Microsoft 365), room/equipment bookings, client coordination, and invoicing.</li><li>Install, configure, and maintain AV systems and infrastructure, including control systems, network-enabled equipment, and hardware (e.g., DSPs, microphones, displays).</li><li>Oversee equipment lifecycle management, including procurement, inventory, licensing, maintenance, audits, and replacement planning.</li><li>Deliver training and real-time technical support to staff and clinicians, resolving multiple issues simultaneously via phone, email, and in person.</li><li>Collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to support connectivity, system updates, and ongoing expansion of AV and ETMS capabilities across UHN.</li></ul>",
