Inclusion Camp Counselors will assist in making sure their participant is included and will serve as a counselor for the rest of the cabin.&nbsp; Assisting participants in a 1:1 capacity who may have differing abilities, neurodivergent or other <span style=\"color:#000000;\">Time commitment for this position is 8:30am-5:00pm Monday Through Friday during the months of June-August. Must be able to commit to a majority of the 9 weeks, June </span>1st <span style=\"color:#000000;\">- July 3</span>1<sup>st</sup>, 2026, with the option to remain on through August 14th<sup><span style=\"font-size:4pt;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">th</span></span></sup><span style=\"color:#000000;\">, based on participant registration and need.</span></span></span></p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\"><b><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</u></b></span></span></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Must have the knowledge of campers&rsquo; whereabouts at all times.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Actively facilitate camper development in outdoor recreation activities, social skill development, values, multi-cultural and environmental awareness. </span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Maintain a positive attitude and conduct with the staff team as a positive adult role model. </span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of campers of all ages, interact appropriately with campers in a variety of situations, appropriately model behavior and use positive behavior management techniques, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, good sportsmanship, and self-control. </span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Creatively adapt and individualize activities to the specific needs of 1:1 buddy</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Understand and implement the behavior/care plan specific to include but not limited to ability, behaviors, restroom, pool and physical and/or cognitive aides.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Assist the general camp counselors and campers to adapt materials and activities to be inclusive as often as needed.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Adhere to and enforce Camp policies and procedures and operate day camp activities in a safe manner at all times. </span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Communicate with parents via send home communication log. </span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:20px;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;\">Attendance at staff meetings and pre-camp training.
