The Speech and Language Pathologist will subscribe to the vision, mission and values of Integrity Educational Services and the applicable academy.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs diagnostic evaluations on all students referred for services.</li>\n<li>Contacts appropriate persons, when indicated, who could provide information which may facilitate diagnosis and treatment plans.</li>\n<li>Consults with each classroom teacher involved with students who will be receiving speech and language services.</li>\n<li>Sets up a schedule for the speech and language program which takes into consideration the student’s total academic and non-academic program.</li>\n<li>Consults with building principal(s) concerning suitable classroom space in which to conduct speech and language programming.</li>\n<li>Assists, in cooperation with supervisor and special education department staff, in developing all necessary procedural guidelines used in the department.</li>\n<li>Provides speech and/or language therapy in individual or group settings and disseminates progress reports to parents, teachers, principals, and those supportive service personnel as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Follows federal, state, and local laws, rules guidelines, and policies.</li>\n<li>Keeps accurate and timely records, including Medicaid billing logs.</li>\n<li>Maintains professional competence in field by attending and participating in professional organizations, workshops, conferences, and staff meetings.</li>\n<li>Assists in conducting in-service training programs to acquaint regular and special education personnel with the needs and ways of working with students with speech/language impairments.</li>\n<li>Assists in developing all necessary procedural guidelines used in the department.</li>\n<li>Complies with rules and regulations around Child Fund.</li>\n<li>Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district, policy, and administrative regulation.</li>\n<li>Makes provisions for being available to students, their parent/guardians, and school staff for education related purposes both during and outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so.</li>\n<li>Provides consultation and collaboration to students, their family members, and school staff.</li>\n<li>Supports Strategic Plan and School Improvement process.</li>\n<li>Focuses on student achievement and growth.</li>\n<li>Aware of and complies with Policies and Procedures in support of nondiscrimination standards.</li>\n<li>Proctors testing.</li>\n<li>Assists with coverage of the eating area during breakfast and lunch.</li>\n<li>Assists with coverage during arrival, passing time, and dismissal from school.</li>\n<li>Performs all other duties, as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>\n<p>The minimum qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of the job such as education, experience, competencies, knowledge and skills are listed below.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability or competence required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Education and/or Experience: Master’s Degree in Speech and appropriate SLP licensing; experience with K-12 school-aged children.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students, parents, and other employees of the organization.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Mathematic Skills: Ability to do simple computations, calculate percentages, and use a calculator.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google applications and/or willingness to learn needed computer skills specific to this position.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Appropriate SLP licensing</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Training: Must participate in and complete annual training, Professional Development, and various other training as deemed appropriate for position.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Other Qualifications: Must pass criminal history records search, physical and drug screen, if required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
