    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team!</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">Surgical technologists assist surgeons during surgical procedures by anticipating surgeon needs to make sure the procedure is executed as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The Tech prepares and organizes the operating room, clean, and sterilize equipment, and maintain a sterile environment. The Surgical Tech is part of the surgical team and work under the supervision of registered nurses or operating managers. The Surgical Technologist also assists in Central Sterile and prepares surgical equipment and ensures appropriate equipment is available for cases. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Major Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Checks physician preference cards and obtains supplies and equipment needed for specific surgical procedure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform surgical hand scrub according to departmental policies.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Gowns and gloves self and surgical team members using sterile technique.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Set up the sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions needed for the procedure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Assists with transport of patients to ancillary services and inpatient rooms. Ensures patient and staff safety by using proper techniques and equipment. Monitors department for transport needs and performs as needed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Completes delegated patient care activities and records and reports variations on the patient record.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Gives complete and accurate report to licensed staff and Charge Nurse upon completion of tasks and duties with inclusion of abnormal findings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to the procedure and before incision is closed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Assists with the maintenance of supplies and equipment.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Assists with draping the sterile field.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Pass instruments and supplies to the sterile surgical team member during the procedure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Prepare sterile dressings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique during the surgical procedure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of organizing, containing, and transporting items of varying compounds, textures, or quantities. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of sterilization procedures of various equipment and instruments.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Graduate from a Surgical Technologist Program: Certification from the Association of Surgical Technologist preferred. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">BLS preferred, must obtain within 3 months of hire. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Schedule</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work hours are based on the needs of the department and may change. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Call schedule consists of rotating 24-hour call shifts.
