Department: Facilities Grade: 8 Reports To: Construction Project Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Supervises Direct: 0 Supervises Indirect: 0 Approved By: Chief Operations Officer Effective Date: 01/01/2010 Revised Date: 02/23/2023 Role: Establish strong working partnerships, value, and loyalty while executing role responsibilities in accordance with our Guiding Values and Service Promises. Perform actions that are often carried out for preventive basis and easy to identify. Perform basic maintenance repairs on facilities, equipment, company vehicles and grounds, to ensure appearance and performance are consistent with our member experience and meeting expectations. Each location shall be maintained at a high level to provide a service-focused, socially comfortable destination for our members and staff. Must be skilled in trades such as carpentry, heating, ventilation (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, or have a related degree from a technical college. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 40% Tracks, performs inspections and maintenance on facilities, fixtures, furniture, grounds and corporate vehicles. Proactively updates maintenance inspection report for management's review with areas of need. May include extensive travel to all of the credit union regions weekly. 25% Proactively makes repairs and or recommends options to management. 15% Compares and assists in the negotiation of regular maintenance contracts. Provides input for budgeting and cost control to management. 15% Assists in planning, scheduling and coordinating contracted maintenance and unique facility projects. 5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned Performance Measurements: 1. Supports and practices Rogue’s Vision, Mission, Values, and Loyalty Culture. Utilizes the Service Promises with both internal and external members. Embraces Rogue's community involvement program in a positive and proactive manner. 2. Provides friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and employees. 3. Provides follow through and an eye for detail, providing ownership for projects through from beginning to end. 4. Accomplishes all assigned projects according to guidelines and procedures, keeping management informed of any critical areas. 5. Takes initiative to coordinate and recommend solutions to management as projects are needed. 6. Stays productive demonstrating good organization and time management skills. Completes assignments in a timely manner. Proactively looks for work during slow periods. Works independently, is reliable, and willingly completes all tasks. 7. Demonstrates empathy, self-reflection, and adjustment of own behaviors, displaying effective emotional intelligence. 8. Demonstrates knowledge required to do the job and is capable of performing job related tasks with appropriate tools and/or resources. 9. Demonstrates considerable flexibility, emotional willingness and resilience in order to accept unanticipated changes in priorities and direction. 10. Follows appropriate security guidelines and maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job. 11. Adheres to and maintains all credit union promotional, regulatory and policy compliance requirements including compliance with any Federal and State laws. 12. Meets or exceeds assigned goals in order to achieve individual, department and credit union goals. Stays informed of current trends within the credit union movement and financial services industry. Knowledge and Skills: Experience : 1 year facilities maintenance experience. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills: Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers and a willingness to learn. Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures, knowledge of general carpentry and repair, ability to use hand tools and power tools. Computer skills with Microsoft Office software knowledge; organization/time management skills; eye for detail/quality. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance. Physical Requirements : Some lifting required (up to 100 pounds), continuous standing, occasional sitting and frequent walking. This employee must be able to utilize maintenance equipment, access ladders and complete physical labor. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Travel to all credit union regions is required. Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. Employee must be capable of adjusting to unpredictable schedules to include availability on evenings, weekends, or emergency situations, ensuring projects are completed with minimal impact to member service. Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, i.e., robbery. This position is exposed to all weather conditions during the year. Current driver's license is required for travel to all Rogue Credit Union regions and ability to drive company vehicle.
