We thrive by continuing to re-invest in our facilities, technology and people.<a href=\"https://www.ahkgroup.com/about-ahk/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Click here to find out more about AHK.</a><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manual Tasks: Performing a variety of physical tasks, including but not limited to manual sampling, sample reduction, moving materials, applying security seals and observation of weighing operations. </li>\n<li>Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating hand tools, power tools and utilization of specialized industry tools as needed for the specific tasks.</li>\n<li>Following Instructions: Adhering to instructions and procedures provided by supervisors or project leaders.</li>\n<li>Safety Compliance: Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n<li>Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects, and also the capability to potentially stand or walk for extended periods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-weight: bold\">DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?<br><br></span></p>\n<p>To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:<br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to read and interpret documents such as packing lists, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, safety instructions, etc.</li>\n<li>Follow directions ensuring the results are accurate and reported promptly.<br></li>\n<li>Work well with others and independently.</li>\n<li>Able to lift to 50 lbs.</li>\n<li>Maintain a professional and independent position for all assignments.</li>\n<li>Effective communication skills with onsite and office-based staff.</li>\n<li>Must be detail oriented and have the ability to convey details through written reports and photographs.</li>\n<li>Must be reliable and able to organise and operate independently (training will be provided).</li>\n<li>Computer literate (Word, Excel, G-mail, Google Drive, etc) and good mathematical skills.</li>\n<li>Positive attitude.</li>\n<li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Work Experience </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in material sampling and inspection practices is preferred.</li>\n<li>TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials allow access to US Ports) preferred. If working in a location where TWIC is required, candidate must be able to pass the background and security requirements.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teamwork: The ability to work effectively with others in a workplace environment.</li>\n<li>Attention to Detail: The ability to understand and follow instructions, while paying special attention to details to ensure accuracy and safety.</li>\n<li>Adaptability: The ability to adapt to different tasks and work environments as well as the ability to problem solve should unexpected issues or changes occur.</li>\n<li>Basic Math Skills: The ability to perform basic calculations relating to weighing operations and/or physical counting.</li>\n<li>Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers in addition to any worksite staff. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally climb a ladder.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel / Rotation Requirements  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Depending on the location, some travel may be required, including overnight stays.</li>\n<li>Willing to travel to remote inspection locations when required.</li>\n<li>Must have a valid and clean Driving Licence.</li>\n<li>Must have a personal vehicle suitable for transportation to assignments.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-weight: bold\">BENEFITS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">401K. </span>You can elect to make pre-tax contributions of between 1% to 84% of eligible earnings. The Company contributes 3% of salary per annum. </li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Medical. </span>Yourself only - fully Company funded (dependents coverage is available at the employee’s cost).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Dental. </span>Yourself and dependents - fully Company funded.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Short Term &amp; Long Term Disability Insurance.</span> Fully Company funded.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Life Insurance.</span> $80,000 total (as long as you are employed by AHK).</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Voluntary Life and AD&amp;D Insurance.</span> Eligible employees may purchase additional Voluntary Life and AD&amp;D insurance.
