Responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing, and evaluating the infection prevention program and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collects, reports, and presents statistical information regarding infection control. Maintains an active surveillance program to determine incidents of infections. Facilitates the infection control services of patients, visitors, and staff. Conducts regular rounds in all clinical areas for discussing, monitoring, and following the practices of infection control with staff. Conducts training sessions to ensure constant implementation of infection control policies.
