          "text": "<p>The San Francisco Fire Department is hiring a Journey Level Oracle APEX and Python Developer to join its Team. Reporting to the Principal Developer, the Oracle APEX and Python Developer with experience supporting technology solutions within a public safety organization shall develop and maintain web-based applications and backend services that support mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Oracle APEX and Python, and a strong understanding of the operational needs and data sensitivity within public safety environments.</p><p><br>\n<u>Key Responsibilities</u>:</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications tailored to public safety workflows and data requirements.</li><li>Build and optimize Python scripts for automation, data processing, and system integration.</li><li>Business Requirements Analysis: Translate business needs into efficient, high-quality technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define project requirements.</li><li>Database Integration: Design and manage database objects, write SQL and PL/SQL code to support application functionality, and ensure data integrity.</li><li>User Interface (UI) Design: Develop intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces that provide a positive user experience.</li><li>Performance Optimization &amp; Maintenance: Ensure the stability and optimal performance of applications, troubleshoot bugs, and resolve ad-hoc requests.</li><li>AI Integration: Implement and utilize AI features, including Generative AI, to accelerate development and enhance application functionality.</li><li>Security Implementation: Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to safeguard application integrity and data security.</li><li>Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders across public safety units to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</li><li>Assist in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and secure system integrations.</li><li>Support database development using SQL and PL/SQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, with attention to uptime and reliability in emergency response contexts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards relevant to public safety.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p>Minimum Qualifications</p><p><em><u>Education</u>:&#xa0;</em>An associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in one of the fields above or a closely-related field].<br>\n<br>\n<em><u>Experience</u>:&#xa0;One (1) year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network.</em></p><p><em>Substitution:</em></p><p>Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units/r forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field.</p><p>Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may be substituted for the required degree.</p><p><em><u>Special Conditions</u></em><em>:</em></p><ul><li>One year of experience in Oracle database and application development and maintenance&#xa0;</li><li>One&#xa0;year&#xa0;of experience in developing web apps with various scripting languages.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></u></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>3–5 years of experience with Oracle APEX development.</li><li>2–4 years of experience with Python programming.</li><li>Experience working within or supporting a public safety organization (e.g., fire, police, emergency services, or related government agencies).</li><li>Solid understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle.</li><li>Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development fundamentals.</li><li>Experience using Git or other version control systems.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-stakes environments.<ul><li>Exposure to Flask or Django frameworks.</li><li>Experience with RESTful API development and integration.</li><li>Familiarity with Agile development practices.</li><li>Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS).</li><li>Experience with data visualization or reporting tools.</li><li>Knowledge of CJIS, HIPAA, or other relevant compliance frameworks.</li></ul></li></ul>",
