This role combines technical estimating expertise with project management responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of refractory materials, industrial processes, and field execution.<br><br><u><strong>Responsibilities</strong></u><br><strong>Estimating & Pre-Construction</strong><br>• Review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for refractory projects<br>• Perform quantity take-offs for refractory materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors<br>• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing<br>• Develop detailed proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules<br>• Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as needed<br><br><strong>Project Management</strong><br>• Manage projects from award through closeout, including planning, execution, and financial performance<br>• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts<br>• Coordinate with clients, field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams<br>• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements<br>• Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality of installation<br><br><strong>Field & Technical Oversight</strong><br>• Provide technical guidance on refractory installation methods, materials, and best practices<br>• Conduct site visits, pre-job walks, and project meetings<br>• Staffing and development of the refractory crews<br>• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving in the field<br>• Ensure proper documentation of work performed, including reports and change orders<br><br><strong>Financial & Contract Management</strong><br>• Track project costs, manage budgets, and maintain profitability<br>• Prepare and manage change orders and billing<br>• Review contracts and ensure compliance<br>• Support project closeout, including final cost analysis and documentation<br><br><u><strong>Qualifications</strong></u><br><strong>Education & Experience</strong><br>•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field experience(preferred)<br>•5+ years of experience in refractory, industrial construction, or related field<br>•Experience in both estimating and project management strongly preferred<br><br><strong>Technical Skills</strong><br>•Strong understanding of refractory materials (brick, castable, ceramic fiber, etc.)<br>•Experience in industrial environments (metals, power, cement, glass, petrochemical, etc.)<br>•Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and P&IDs<br>•Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite<br><br><strong>Core Competencies</strong><br>•Strong organizational and time management skills<br>•Excellent communication and client relationship skills<br>•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously<br>•Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail<br>•Knowledge of safety standards and best practices",
