Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The  Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) provides care that requires knowledge and skills obtained from advanced formal education and clinical experience.  </li>\n <li>The ACNP, in collaboration with the physicians and interdisciplinary team, may provide preventive, acute, specialized and primary care services to patients consistent with the nurse’s education and certification.  </li>\n <li>Services provided by the ACNP may include, but are not limited to the following: 1) assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of identified health needs; 2) ordering and interpretation of diagnostic and/or laboratory tests; 3) formulating, documenting, and monitoring treatment plans; 4) routine wound or post-operative dressing management; 5) ordering interdisciplinary consults; and 6) ordering pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and/or interventions. </li>\n <li> In addition to standard ACNP responsibilities, duties also include the day to day management and development of the nurse practitioner program at SCH-C. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master of Science or Doctorate in Nursing</li>\n <li>Active OH Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license with eligibility for licensure in states as needed for telemedicine</li>\n <li>Active OH RN license with eligibility for licensure in states as needed for telemedicine</li>\n <li>Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) certification from the PNCB</li>\n <li>BLS certification. PALS certification within 3 months of hire</li>\n <li>DEA certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced practice experience in a pediatric ICU</li>\n</ul>",
